Who is the club open to?
Athletes who are between the ages of 7 and 18 years old.
When does the season start and end?
Spring Season typically starts the first week of February and ends following the GPRA State Track Meet the first weekend of May.
Summer Season starts immediately after Spring Season wraps up (mid-May) and ends following the USATF Junior Olympics
or AAU Junior Olympics.
When is the first track meet?
Spring Season first meet is typically the first weekend of March.
Summer Season first meet is typically Memorial Day weekend.
What day(s) does the team practice?
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with some special event (Jumping, Throwing, Hurdles) practices on Wednesdays during
the summer season.
Does my athlete need to have experience to compete in track meets?
Athletes of all experience levels are welcome to compete in the Spring Season. The Summer Season is for serious
athletes who are working to compete in the Junior Olympics.
What events will my athlete compete in?
Each week coaches evaluate performance and determine the events they would like athletes to participate in.

| Sprints | 100m, 200m, 400m | High-speed races that happen in "lanes." These move very quickly! |
| Distance | 800m, 1500m, 3000m | Races that require pacing and stamina. Athletes usually "break" to the inside lane. |
| Hurdles | 80m, 100m, 110m | Sprinting while jumping over a series of barriers. |
| Relays | 4x100m, 4x400m | Four athletes working together to carry a baton around the track. |
| Field Events | Long Jump, Shot Put, Turbo Javelin | These occur "in the field" (usually on the grass or in sand pits) during the running events. |
